An index listing of people, places, rivers, ships, battles, events, and supplementary information linked with The Great War On This Day project. These pages consist of basic chronological events in easy to digest bulleted lists, segmented by years. Some are relatively short with only one or two events, others are longer with multiple events over more than one year. This information is contemporary with the War, and was correct at the time of publication. It has been sourced primarily from the copyright-expired, three volumed Chronology of the War (1918-1920), compiled by Lord Edward Gleichen.
