Great War events that took place on 7 February.

1915 (Sunday)

Western Front Heavy German attack at Bagatelle (Argonne).
Eastern Front  ▶  Germans take offensive on southern wing of East Prussian front, and advance 40 kilometres towards Johannisburg.  ▶  Very heavy fighting at Kosziowa, north-east of Tucholka Pass: enemy finally checked.  ▶  Austrians reach Upper Suczava valley, Bukovina.
Political  ▶  British Foreign Office issues statement justifying use of neutral flag "for the purpose of evading capture at sea" (see 30 January, 6 and 11 February).  ▶  Allied financial resources to be united.
