Western Front  ▶  Artillery duels on whole front; especially round St. Georges, La Bassée, Roye and Verdun.  ▶  French recover port of Steinbach (Alsace).
Eastern Front  ▶  Poland and Galicia: Austro-German retreat.  ▶  Hungary: Once more raided over the Passes.
Southern Front Serbia: Preparations to meet new Austrian invasion.
Asiatic and Egyptian Theatres Egypt: Preparations to meet expected Turkish attack complete.
Political Prussian losses to date, 753,000.
