Chronological events that took place in Forest of Argonne.

• 1914
  • 15 September – German advance begins; continues until 21 October.
  • 21-29 October – French recovery begins.

• 1915
  • 3, 5, 22, 23, 27 & 30 January and various dates throughout February to June — Fighting takes place in the forest.
  • 30 June – Unsuccessful enemy attack.
  • 2-4 July, 12-15 July & 26 July – Repeated heavy German attacks checked by the French.
  • 1-3 August, 7, 11 & 13 August – German attacks and continued heavy fighting.
  • 2 August – Liquid fire attack near Marie Thérèse.
  • 8, 9, 27 & 28 September – Heavy artillery and violent fighting.
  • 1-10 October, 7-16 October – Continued fighting.
