Template documentation

Template:W2 (Wikipedia2) is used for linking to Wikipedia articles when you want to change the name of the article as it appears in your text. An example of this would be the Wikipedia article called 'World War I', but instead you wanted to call it 'First World War' or 'The Great War'. You would type {{w2|World War I|The Great War}} which generates and output of The Great War. This is definitely the template to use if you want to rename a Wikipedia article in your text but link directly to it.

If you want to keep the link name the same as the Wikipedia article, you can do so by using Template:W2 (Wikipedia1) and typing the following {{w1|World War I}} which generates an output of World War I. In most cases this will suffice, but that all depends on what you include in your text.
