Rations

From The Great War On This Day

Everyday rations for the troops consisted of two types, these generally being "Wet" and "Dry" rations. Dry rations were composed of bread, cheese, butter, jam, uncooked food. Wet rations were of tea, porridge and any cooked food such a stews etc.[1]
