1916

2 January	Shelled by the Turks.
4 January	Relief expedition sets out for.
21 January	Failure of attacks on Um-el-Hannah.
8 March	Turkish right flanks and Dujailah Redoubt unsuccessfully attacked by the British.
22 April	Failure of final British attack on Sannan-i-Yat.
24 April	The steamer Julnar fails to break blockade of.
29 April	Surrenders to the Turks.
22 December	British positions south and east are consolidated; Turkish position south-west is bombarded.
