1915
25 September | Violent artillery fighting during month of September; Great French offensive begins; Germans driven back between the Suippe and Aisne. |
26 September | French advance between Auberive and Ville-sur-Tourbe. |
27 September | German second lines attacked. |
28 September | Progress towards Hill 185 and north of Massiges. |
29 September | Continued progress north of Massiges and Butte-de-Tahure. Fighting north of Mesnil. |
29–30 September | French successes about Mesnil. |
1–3 October | Indecisive fighting about Navarin Farm. |
9–12 October | Heavy fighting round Tahure. |
15 October | Enemy gain footing east of Auberive. |
16–18 October | Continued artillery fighting throughout. |
19–21 October | German attacks east of Reims defeated. |
24 October | French capture La Courtine. |
25–29 October | Stubborn fighting around La Courtine. |
26–28 October | Continuous artillery work around Tahure. |
3–4 November | Germans attack at Hill 199 and Chausson Farm. |
9 December | Hard fighting, ground regained by the French. |
