The following timeline provides a simple chronological listing of events relating to Carpathian Mountains.
1914
| 7 September | Russian cavalry reach. |
| 28 November | Russians capture passes. |
| 12–18 December | Austrians recover. |
| 20–25 December | Russians again capture. |
1915
| 27–28 February | Hard fighting in the region south and south-west of Przemysl; Eventual Russian successes. |
| The Russians retreat in May; Further fighting in the autumn. |
