1914

7 July	Councils regarding Serbia; also on 21 July.
23 July	Ultimatum to Serbia.
25 July	Minister leaves Belgrade.
26 July	Partial mobilisation.
28 July	Declaration of war on Serbia.
1 August	General mobilisation.
5 August	Declaration of war on Russia.
25 August	Declaration of war on Japan.

1915

13 January	Stephan Burián von Rajecz succeeds Leoplod Berchtold as Foreign Minister.
16 April	Proposals to Italy regarding south Tyrol; Italy demurs.
3 May	Italy denounces Triple Alliance.
18 May	Presentation of Cessions proposed.
21 May	Note to Italy regarding Triple Alliance.
23 May	Italy declares war on Austria-Hungary.
