1915 (Sunday)
- Battle of the Dogger Bank.[a] (See Naval Battle in the North Sea).
- German airship PL–19 is brought down near Libau.
- Lieut-General Sir A.J. Murray resign as Chief of the General Staff, British Expeditionary Force in France.
- Lieut-General Sir W. Robertson resigns as Quartermaster General, British Expeditionary Force in France.
- Maritz and Kemp repulsed at Upington.
- Publication of letter by Mr. Bryan refuting charge that USA Government had shown partiality to the Entente.
- British Government offer Greek Government concessions in Asia Minor in return for help to Serbia.

- ↑ The German cruiser Blücher was sunk, and two battler-cruisers, with several smaller vessels, were damaged. No British ships were lost, but the battle-cruiser Lion, Vice-Admiral Beatty's flagship, was put out of action and had to be towed to harbour.
