The Bulldog Corps

From The Great War On This Day

The Bulldog Corps: An occasional name in the war for the Sixth Army Corps, suggested by the Corps Sign, a Bull-dog. The tenacity of the corps in heavy fighting in 1917-18, under the command of Sir Aylmer Haldane, added point to the nickname. [1]
