Template documentation

Usage

This template is useful for keeping date links the same length in their abbreviated form. It uses the monospaced font Courier. As long as the month name is kept to the standard three letter abbreviation, each date will line up with the following date. There is one caveat, dates before the 10th of the month will require a 0 prefix, i.e. 1, 02, 03, 04 etc.

Example

The following wikitext {{ml|25 July|25 Jul}} renders as: 18 Mar

And in a bulleted list, it looks like this:

  • 07 Jan – Some text about this date
  • 25 Apr – Some text about this date
  • 30 Jul – Some text about this date
  • 12 Sep – Some text about this date
  • 17 Oct – Some text about this date
The above documentation is transcluded from Template:Monospaced link/doc.
