Want to upload a file to The Great War wiki?
- The source file
- Choose the source file from your device. Various file extensions are permitted (see below). Whenever possible upload the image with the highest possible resolution.
- Edit the destination filename. Use a concise but descriptive filename, e.g. Tank on the Somme Battlefields.jpg instead of IMG_0086273.jpg. The only way to change the title of the filename is to move the page.
- The file description
In the file description box, there is the summary field. This is the place to add details about the file you want to upload.
- Description: Write a descriptive and concise caption of your image.
- Source: Use "Own work" if you are the author. You can also link to an external site here.
- Author: This is used for attribution purposes. Add the name of the person who created the work. If you do not know the author, put unknown.
- Date: The creation date, or publication date if creation date is unknown.
- Published: The name of the publisher.
Consider including the {{Infobox file}} template by copying the text below and pasting it in the summary box.
