Chronological events that took place in the Carpathian Mountains.

• 1914
  • 7 September – Russian cavalry reach.
  • 28 November – Russians capture passes.
  • 12-18 December – Austrians recover..
  • 20-25 December – Russians again capture.

• 1915
  • 27-28 February – Hard fighting in the region south and south-west of Przemysl; Eventual Russian successes.
  • The Russians retreat in May; Further fighting in the autumn.
