Chronological events that took place in the Carpathian Mountains.
- 1914
- 7 September – Russian cavalry reach.
- 28 November – Russians capture passes.
- 12-18 December – Austrians recover..
- 20-25 December – Russians again capture.
- 1915
- 27-28 February – Hard fighting in the region south and south-west of Przemysl; Eventual Russian successes.
- The Russians retreat in May; Further fighting in the autumn.
