Bus

From The Great War On This Day

Bus: In the war, "Bus" had a wide popularity at first among airmen generally, when speaking of their own machines. Latterly, however, the word came to be regarded as rather bad form from its becoming a hackneyed expression and being taken up by outsiders.[1]
