BIO: Meaning Branch Intelligence Officer. An officer of an Army or Corps Staff under the GSOI (see I) "attached for rations and discipline" to RAF reconnaissance squadron of his Army or Corps, as a channel of communication from observers and air photography between the Air Force and the Army.[1]
