Chronological events that took place on or near the River Aisne.
- 1914
- 13 September – Passage forced by Allies.
- 14 September – Battle of the Aisne begins; Germans stop advance.
- 15 September – German counter-attacks.
- 28 September – Battle dies down; the Allies abandon frontal attack for turning movements.
- 1915
- 7 June – Repeated German counter-attacks repulsed: 2000 German dead and 250 prisoners.
- 29 September – Heavy artillery fighting throughout September; Violent bombardment north and south of the river.
- 1-7, 12, 17, 18 & 28 October – Operations active on the river.
